Libraries with Heart

What is Libraries with Heart?

Libraries with Heart is a community initiative designed to help you monitor your blood pressure from the comfort of your home. Monitoring your blood pressure regularly is the only way to know if your numbers are high and take action to manage your health.

Please note: Only your physician can diagnose hypertension. Use the blood pressure readings you track at home to discuss with your doctor.

Through the Libraries with Heart program, community members can check out blood pressure monitors at local libraries for up to 2 weeks, making it easy to keep track of your health without the hassle of purchasing expensive equipment.

What’s Included in the Blood Pressure Kit?

Each kit comes with:

  • A blood pressure monitor for home use.
  • Step-by-step directions on how to properly measure your blood pressure.
  • Information on blood pressure management, including tips and strategies for maintaining healthy blood pressure.
  • A blood pressure log to track your readings and share with your doctor.
  • Local community and healthcare resources to provide further support.
