Hypertension Awareness and Prevention program (HAPp)

What is HAPp?

HAPp is a FREE 4-month self-measured blood pressure program designed to help you manage your health. The program offers:

  • Biweekly 20-minute coaching sessions with a HAPp coach.

  • Monthly nutrition workshops focused on healthy eating.
  • Stress management and healthy lifestyle strategies.
  • Access to an electronic blood pressure monitor for at-home measurements.

Eligibility Requirements:

Participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Have a high blood pressure diagnosis or be on medication for hypertension.
  • Be committed to actively participating in the program.

Currently, we are unable to accept participants who:

  • Have experienced a significant cardiac event in the last 6 months.
  • Have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation or other arrhythmias.
  • Have a diagnosis of lymphedema or are at risk of developing it.


Don't Meet Program Requirements?

Participants who don’t qualify for HAPp are still welcome to attend all Nutrition Workshops and can check out a blood pressure monitor at your local library!
