Water Conservation
Tips for Conserving Water in the Landscape
- Mulch trees, shrubs, flowerbeds & gardens to conserve soil moisture.
- Eliminate weeds to prevent water competition with desirable plant species.
- Eliminate high water use plants in the landscape and replace them with drought tolerant plant choices.
- Check your irrigation system at least once per month for leaks, as irrigation systems often operate when no one is outside to inspect if they are functioning correctly.
- Use rain barrels to capture and reuse natural rainfall.
